Les Deux Alpes is one of France's oldest ski resorts and the largest in the Dauphine region. The lift system gives you access to a ski area from 1,300m in altitude all the way up to 3,600m where you'll find the largest skiable glacier in Europe (the Girose).

The bonus is that the lifts are open not only in winter, but summer and autumn too!

There are over 225km of marked pistes (11 black, 19 red, 43 blue and 19 green) which you can access from a total of 53 lifts, then on top of that a further 765 hectares of off piste and 25km of cross country ski trails.

Access to Venosc is by the gondola which runs from 07:45 to 19:00 in winter. There is no ski access down to Venosc.

The lifts marked on the piste map using straight black lines are of four types; button tow/drag, chair, télécabine and téléphérique. They have the corresponding abbreviations:

  • TK - téléski (drag)
  • TS - télésiège (chair)
  • TC - télécabine (gondola)
  • TPH - téléphérique (cable car)

In winter the majority of lifts are open between 09:15 and 16:30

For télécabine think bubble car and for téléphérique think cable car. Anything prefixed/suffixed with “Express” means a 6 person modern fast chair lift.

The lift system operates during the autumn, winter and summer seasons, giving access to a huge range of mountain activities.
