Red MTB Trails

More technically challenging riding for intermediate riders

featured in Mountain biking trails Updated

Les 2 Alpes has a number of red downhill trails.

The highest trail is Belle Etoile which starts from almost half way down the top of the Jandri gondola. You'll actually start on an enduro trail that follows the route of the Mountain of Hell event, and then you'll see the red signs for Belle Etoile just past the lake. This trail is only 1.5km long descending -200m and is a little bit of a moon scape with loose rock and shale like stones.

From the bottom of this trail you can connect to another red, Rocky Line which is 2km long and -360m. The trail turns into a liaison route under the gondola, where you'll pop out onto a green trail and then you've got a few options to get back to resort - either the blue back to the bottom of the Village 1800 chair or another red Sapins.

Sapins takes you slap bang towards the Crankworx area. It's 2.5km long and -500m down to the bottom of the Jandri gondola. There are so many corners and berms in this trail, you'll love it.

Further over from the Diable chair lift is another new trail 666. Take a right from the top of the lift and onto the first part of the blue Diable trail where you'll soon see the signs for the red track. You're at around 2,400m here and the views across the Veneon valley are pretty special, that's if you give yourself time to stop and admire them on the way down! The trail is 5km long and descends -830m.

At the bottom of this trail you pick up the top of the red trail down into Venosc, or you can head back up the Diable and do 666 all over again.

Find the trails on the maps here. Look for the unbroken red lines.
