Chamois Volant Chalet, 2 Alpes
7 bedroom Chalet in Les Deux Alpes. Sleeps 17
This chalet is ideally located for the bars, shops and restaurants and is close to the foot of the slopes, the Diable chairlift is only a 230m walk away.
This 19th Century stone farm building has traditional seasoned timber, exposed stone work and original stone vaulted ceilings delivering a typically French rustic feel.
Spread over four floors, the ground floor entrance opens out into the open-plan living area which is full of the character of the building with arched ceilings and stone floor, with a large wood burning stove around which comfy leather sofas are arranged where you can relax with a good book and a glass of wine whilst your evening meals are prepared. There is also a TV and DVD player should you wish to indulge in a movie one evening and free wifi is provided.
The dining area has a large wooden table which comfortably seats up to 17 guests in a well-lit room.
The stone features throughout the building continues up into the bedrooms on the first, second and third floors. The balcony off the first floor is where guests can enjoy the outdoor hot tub in the glorious sunshine.
The chalet has heated boot dryers, so no cold toes and stiff boots in the morning.
Chalet staff live in a ground floor apartment with a separate entrance.
Sleeping
The 7 bedrooms are spread out over 3 floors.
First floor:
- Rooms 1-3 = 3 twins or king-sized doubles with shower and WC,
- Room 4 = double with shower and WC.
Second floor:
- Rooms 5 = twin or king-sized double with bath, shower, WC and extra bed for children only
- Room 6 = twin or king-sized double with bath, shower, WC and extra fold away bed for children only
- Room 7 = set on two levels, private sitting room with extra bed for children only, leading up to king-sized double with bath, shower and WC on the top floor.
Please note the en-suite facilities in Rooms 1 & 4 are not separated by a door.
Dining
This chalet is let on a catered basis with breakfast on 7 days and afternoon tea & dinner on 6 days.
