Enduro & XC MTB Trails

All mountain routes and itineraries

featured in Mountain biking trails Updated

There are enduro trails and cross-country (XC) trails in the 2 Alpes bike park, with something for every level of rider and ability.

The enduro trails are marked on the maps with broken coloured lines signifying their difficulty in either blue, red or black. The cross country trails have a small arrow showing the direction of travel next to an unbroken line in either blue or red.

The longest of these trails is the blue XC Veneon trail, which covers 22km +115m and -340m. As the name suggests it's down in the Veneon valley and starts at the bottom of the Venosc gondola.

Back up in the main resort of 2 Alpes, you'll find two easy blue enduro trails. Super Venosc starts from part way down the Pied Moutet blue DH track at the top of the Valley Blanche lift. Take a left at the top of the lift and descend 2.5km -440m through the trees and back into resort. You'll end up away from the lifts, but it's only a short pedal back to any of them you fancy.

On the other side of the valley is the Jandri enduro trail, the highest starting point of any of the mountain bike trails in the valley, at the foot of the glacier. This trail snacks down over the rock moonscape from the top of the gondola back down -600m and 4.5km to the mid station of the Jandri gondola, where you can either pick up the lift and do it again, or transition onto a red or blue downhill trail.

Heading down into Mont de Lans Village (at the opposite end of resort to the Venosc gondola) is the red enduro trail Tallias. This one follows the route of the chair lift down to Mont de Lans and snakes over some north shore sections and through the trees. It's 2km long and -320m of descent. You can lap it from the chairlift.

Getting a little more technical there are two black graded enduro trails, the first, Mountain of Hell is on the glacier side of the valley and starts not far from the top of the Jandri Express. Join the Jandri blue trail and head down before taking a right onto the black trail. It's a short trail of 2km and only descends -300m. From here there's a liaison to the next black trail.

The second black trail Choucas Bikers starts from just below the lake around two-thirds of the way down from the top of the Jandri gondola. It's only 1.5km long but quite loose under your tyres and descends -210m back close to the mid-station.

The other XC trail in the bike park is the red trail Vallons de Bons, which is a nice and long 7km route starting from the top of the Vallee Blanche lift. This one takes you the long way back round to the bottom of the lift, down over the ridge line towards Mont de Lans, back through the trees and traverses back across to rejoin the VB lift.

Find the trails on the maps page. Look for the cross-hatched colours for enduro trails and unbroken lines with arrows of XC.
