Blue MTB Trails

Easy trails for beginner mountain bikers

featured in Mountain biking trails Updated

There are blue downhill trails to choose from in 2 Alpes, on both sides of the valley.

On the Vallee Blanche side, take a left from the top of the lift and descend on the Pied Moutet trail. This one is 4.5km long and drops -440m back to the bottom of the lift. It's an open, treeless route down, crossing a couple of north shore sections on the way, but nothing too skinny or technical.

On the other side of the valley the Grand Nord trail starts from half way up the Jandri gondola. Be sure to get off here as if you're not comfortable riding red, rocky trails you'll not enjoy the route back from the glacier! This trail is a manageable 2km long and descends -360m. You join a connecting trail from here back to the top of green trail l'Ange which takes you back to the valley floor.

From the top of the Diable chair lift you've got two choices - the Diable which is 5.3km long and descends -730m or the shorter Lilith trail, also -730m but slightly shorter at 4.5km. Both trails meet half way down so you can try them both out by doing laps of this lift. The trail turns into a green to get you back to the valley floor, with a nice easy runout.

Further along the valley floor, more in the centre of resort is Bike Patrollers trail. It starts at the top of the village 1800 chairlift and is a nice, short 3km trail taking you down -390m. As you're descending you'll see the Crankwork area to your left.

See the trails on the maps here. Look for the unbroken blue DH lines on the map.
