When you buy a family ski pass you get unlimited access to the whole 2 Alpes ski area, access to the lifts as pedestrians, one entry to the swimming pool and ice rink per day, night skiing and 1 free day in any of the Grand Galaxie rseorts of Alpe d'Huez, Serre Chevalier, Sestrieres, Montgenevre or Puy St Vincent.

You can also buy a 'Tribe 3' pass which allows 3 family members or friends (from 5-64 years) to save money on 6 or 7 day passes.

During the summer you can ski on the glacier; with most of the runs being blue it is perfect for family skiing - there is even a snowpark for the older kids! Unfortunately there is no family pass currently on offer, but children do get a discounted rate and the pass gets you into a whole load of other family-friendly attractions in the resort. Beginner Passes

If you are a complete beginner it is likely that you will be joining ski school for most of your stay, so it is worth discussing with them which pass option is best suited for their beginner groups. However, for the days when you may not be in ski school there are a couple of day or half day pass options for you to consider:

  • Foot of the Pistes:  a half day pass that gives you access to the gentle lifts and slopes around the valley floor
  • Ski Sympa:  valid for the day and gives unlimited access to 21 ski lifts suitable for beginners as they grow in confidence

See our page on Lift Pass Prices for more information.

Free Passes

If you want to go for a quick spin on arrival day but your lift pass doesn't kick in until the following morning, then there are 5 free drag lifts in Deux Alpes, at the bottom of the main ski runs.  They are mainly targeted at encouraging beginners to find their feet as the slopes are very gentle, but you can also use then to get your legs back at the start of your holiday.
