Ski Lift Pass Options in Les Deux Alpes
There are a number of different passes available in winter; prices can vary according to age, how many of you there are, how many days you want to ski and so on. Planning ahead can help you make the most of your 2 Alpes ski holiday - and hopefully save you some money! Should you be skiing 'en famille' this winter Les Deux Alpes offers a reduced rate pass to families with at least 2 children under the age of 18 for a minimum of 6 days. ID and proof of age will be required.
When you buy a family ski pass you get unlimited access to the whole 2 Alpes ski area, access to the lifts as pedestrians, one entry to the swimming pool and ice rink per day, night skiing and 1 free day in any of the Grand Galaxie rseorts of Alpe d'Huez, Serre Chevalier, Sestrieres, Montgenevre or Puy St Vincent.
You can also buy a 'Tribe 3' pass which allows 3 family members or friends (from 5-64 years) to save money on 6 or 7 day passes.
During the summer you can ski on the glacier; with most of the runs being blue it is perfect for family skiing - there is even a snowpark for the older kids! Unfortunately there is no family pass currently on offer, but children do get a discounted rate and the pass gets you into a whole load of other family-friendly attractions in the resort. If you are a complete beginner it is likely that you will be joining ski school for most of your stay, so it is worth discussing with them which pass option is best suited for their beginner groups. However, for the days when you may not be in ski school there are a couple of day or half day pass options for you to consider:
- Foot of the Pistes: a half day pass that gives you access to the gentle lifts and slopes around the valley floor
- Ski Sympa: valid for the day and gives unlimited access to 21 ski lifts suitable for beginners as they grow in confidence

If you want to go for a quick spin on arrival day but your lift pass doesn't kick in until the following morning, then there are 5 free drag lifts in Deux Alpes, at the bottom of the main ski runs. They are mainly targeted at encouraging beginners to find their feet as the slopes are very gentle, but you can also use then to get your legs back at the start of your holiday.
Discounted passes are available in October for the All Saints (Toussaint) holidays, plus you can also get early and late season discounts.

In Les Deux Alpes pedestrian passes are available for 1 trip, return trips, 1 day or 6 days and can give you access to the foot of the glacier if you'd like to go and check it out.
In La Grave you can travel all the way up to 3200m in the gondola and pay for an individual, family or group ticket.
Cross-country Passes (Nordic Skiing)
You don't need lift access to reach the cross country skiing areas, so all you need is your equipment!
Season & Annual Passes
From the beginning of October to the beginning of November you can save money on your season ski pass. After this and until the opening of the resort in December you'll also get a discount, but not as much as in October, so it pays to get in early!
A 2 Alpes season pass allows you to benefit from 2 days skiing in La Grave, and 10 days in the Grand Galaxie resorts of Alpe d'Huez, Serre Chevalier, Sestrieres, Montgenevre or Puy St Vincent.
Your season pass also gives you unlimited access to the swimming pool and ice rink, access to night skiing and money off the 1st tracks activity.
