Les Deux Alpes Resort Guide Videos

James has been taking a look around the lively resort of Les Deux Alpes, situated right in the heart of the Oisans region and renowned for its amazing scenery and boundless opportunities for both winter and summer sports.  At an altitude of 1650m and surrounded by glaciers, Les Deux Alpes offers year round glacier skiing and out of season ski and snowboard camps, as well as links over to the legendary resort of La Grave, famous for its outstanding off-piste terrain.

It also has one of the most modern lift systems in Europe, giving access to 200kms of piste or 100kms of marked MTB trails in the summer.

The resort also enjoys a fun and lively nightlife and has a wide choice of bars and restaurants to choose from in the evening.

Three of the biggest events in the year are held in Les Deux Alpes; The Mondial du Freeski and Snowboard at the end of October/early November, and the Mondial du VTT for MTB fans in mid-June.  Check out our event videos for a taster of what to expect.

Many people are still oblivious to the wealth of Summer Activities that Les 2 Alpes has to offer during the warmer months. Once the snow has melted we are left with a summer paradise in which to Walk or Hike, Mountain Bike (MTB), Paraglide, ski on the glacier or just lie back amongst the summer flowers & take in the stunning scenery. James visits the Glacier in the resort of Les Deux Alpes to look into the benefits of summer skiing.

Les Deux Alpes has the largest skiable glacier in Europe. It sits at 3600m, a twenty minute bubble ride from the centre of town, and offers 300 acres of pisted runs and one of the best summer parks in Europe.

So if your local snowdome or dry ski slope is not giving you your riding fix then head out to Les Deux Alpes for some summer snow.
