Childcare Services in Les Deux Alpes

Children are made more than welcome in Les Deux Alpes and there are a number of crèches and childcare services available. There are a couple of nurseries that takes children from aged 3 years, and a private babysitting/nanny agency. They do tend to be popular and so you should make sure you book well in advance. Children's clubs are also popular during summer and winter, and offer a range of activities for children of all ages.

Crèches, Child Minding & Baby Sitting Services

Depending on the age of your child there are lots of options. Crèche les Deux Alpes takes babies from 6 months to 2 years old. Places must be reserved at least a day in advance and the first 2 days will be 1/2 days to allow your child to settle in. Bonhomme de Neige welcomes older children of 2-6 years for sports, games and other activities. In the winter they will be taken sledging and snowshoe walking according to the weather. 6-16 year olds can take part in a range of indoor and outdoor activities at the Centre de Loisir, where activity programmes are drawn up weekly depending on the age of the child and the weather.

For most childcare options you will need to book in advance and provide medical/vaccination records.

The main winter establishments are listed here under Ski Schools, most ski schools will take children from the age of 3-4 years. Ecole du Ski Francais (ESF) runs half-day children's lessons in the safety of the 'Jardin de Neige' under the supervision of qualified instructors.

Summer Activity Club

There are so many things for kids to do in Les Deux Alpes throughout the summer that sometimes the only way to make the most of it is to enrol them in a summer club! The activity club Fun Stages has two groups; 'Les Pitchouns' for 4 to 7 year olds and 'Juniors' for 8 to 15 year olds.

In 'Les Pitchouns' your child will get to go hiking with friendly donkeys, ice skate, try their hand at archery and more in a week-long schedule of organised entertainments.

The 'Juniors' have a more advanced programme of rafting, climbing, mountain biking and other sports.

Both clubs run from Monday to Friday and offer full or half day options.

For those of you who want to brush up your snowpark skills the renowned Kommunity Summer Camps take place in Les Deux Alpes every summer for 2 weeks, bringing together riders of all levels with coaching by some of the top names in British snowboarding.
