New Blue Piste For Les 2 Alpes

Work should be completed for December 2015

Work is finally under way on the long talked about blue piste that will come down the front face into resort.

It's a huge project and five hundred thousand cubic metres of earth will need to be shifted, that’s a lot of dirt, so no suprise it won’t open till December 2015..

Work started on the 26th April, and most skiers and fans of L2A are excited by the project. It will be great for beginners and intermediates to be able to return to resort this way, as the current options are the dodgy long and narrow Demoiselle Green piste, the dreaded Black Valentin run, or downloading on chairlifts or eggs.

From a freeride perspective it’s not great having another piste cut into a nice steep pitch, however there should still be plenty of freshies to be had in between the new pisted sections.

The lift pass company have promised to plant 12,000 trees in this sector to integrate the new piste, and ‘put back’ the three downhill mountain bike tracks that are currently being effected whilst work is being undertaken.
