The Red Frog is situated at the end of town in Place De Venosc. They offer sporting events every night of the week, reasonably priced beers and wines, and an amazing cooked breakfast served all day. Open from 9am-2am.
Smithy's Tavern, located opposite the Kodak shop near the Venosc end of town, is the largest bar in Les Deux Alpes with 2 floors and a capacity crowd of 500. Smithy’s is the perfect place to get the beers in with friends. Every Wednesday from 10pm, mountain resort renowned live bands stir up the crowd and for afters you can dance to Drum&Bass, R&B and dance classics. Double shot measures, extensive beers on tap and English Ales will help you see the night away until 2am!
If you want to party with a load of crazy Dutch people head to either La Grotte du Yeti or Snowcafe Veronica. La Grotte du Yeti advertises itself as an International Party Bar and has branches in Tignes, Les Menuires, Risoul, St Francois Lonchamp, Oz, Alpe d’Huez and St Sorlin d’Arves. They certainly seem to have cracked the Alpine party scene with regular events, party nights and drink promotions and is the only bar that we know of that has a designated Soup Hour?! Soup is served most nights between 4-5pm. Snowcafe Veronica is equally as lively as well as being staffed by annoyingly gorgeous Dutch girls with music by the improbably named DJ Bastard...
Smokey Joe’s, in the centre of resort by the lift pass office, is a staple bar in Les Deux Alpes. Smokey’s is the number one bar for live sport; projector screens and plasma TV`s are usually on for all to enjoy the football and other sporting events. With fancy dress parties every week, great Happy Hour prices, Guinness on tap, a wide variety of music and a shot menu to challenge even the biggest drinkers Smokey’s is a brilliant bar to have the best night you will never remember! Remember to ask the bar for the dice to play for shots or experience the Triple G shot...
Opposite Marche U supermarket is where you'll find Pub Windsor, the most established and renowned bar in Les Deux Alpes. A small bar with cosy leather seats, Pub Windsor is the place to experience a real French environment. Friendly locals will serve you from a choice of 100 beers, almost every whiskey under the sun and, with Pub Windsor`s intriguing environment, it will keep you coming back for more.
La Rhumerie is on the main street and is the main stop to fire down a few shots of rum before continuing on your way. With bottles of flavoured rum (15€ each) served with ice and shot glasses, this bar is a favourite with groups of revellers wanting a quick hit of alcohol to warm up the walk to more bars.
Next door to Smithy's is the Avalanche, the biggest club in town. At 10€ entry for all holiday makers, Avalanche plays the most up-to-date dance and R&B music. The bar isn’t the cheapest, with pints of beer at 8€ or a spirit and mixer at 7€, but the atmosphere more than makes up for this and will keep you bouncing all the way to 4am!
Situated on the main street by the roundabout, Polar Bear offers a much more relaxed environment compared with many other bars in resort. With a wooden interior, open fire, plenty of seats and relaxed music, Polar Bear is the place to go for a quiet drink and unwind after a day on the slopes. Open till 2am.
The Le Maya Cafe is open from 4pm to 2am and keeps everyone happy with cocktails, shooters, fancy dress parties and theme nights.
If you're not into the music played by the usual après bands get down to B4 which hosts regular Drum & Bass, House and Hip Hop nights. Look out as well for their themed nights such as Ladies Night, Pirate Parties, Latino nights and Beach Parties. Open 4pm-2am.

Smokey Joes or Smokey’s, as it is often referred to, is located next to the main Jandri Express in the centre of town, and is the number one bar in town for après. From 4-8pm Monday-Friday join Mark Morton for classic and up-to-date songs, with a bit of banter thrown in to get the crowd really going. With Guinness on tap, Smokey’s really is the place to enjoy a drink with friends after a day on the hill.
The Secret Bar, located 2 minutes from the main Jandri Express on the main road, is an excellent place for a drink and chat with friends and family about the days skiing. Between 4-6pm live bands play regularly throughout the week; with a renowned cocktail list and super priced Happy Hours, it's an après ski not to be missed!
Pano Bar, located on the mountain at 2600m opposite Jandri Express mid station, is one après-ski event that will stick with you for a long time! Half price beers between 3-4pm will really warm up the coldest of days. With DJ`s playing sets outside on the south facing terrace and regular pre-party events for the Avalanche Club, Pano Bar is the number one bar with seasonnaires in town, so get there early for the best position to watch the sun come down after a rigorous days skiing!

Tribeca Café
|
Head to Crêpes a Go Go to sample a French delicacy that we Brits only seem to get round to making once a year. For around 7€, depending on your choice of filling, you can tuck into a tasty pancake on the sunny terrace or take refuge in the cosy ‘olde worlde’ bar with a choice of beers on tap.
To put the night to bed head for Chalet à Pizza on Rue des Vikings. Open from 11am to 2pm you will find all manner of pizza and fast food to take away or eat in, they also do home delivery. There is a wide choice of take away joints throughout Les Deux Alpes.
The Tribeca Café is located at the beginning of the town, beside the tourist office. A traditional Italian restaurant, Tribeca offers an extensive pizza menu, all of which are made before your eyes before being cooked in a stone oven. Traditional pastas, fondue, raclette and exquisite steaks are all on the menu, served by an extremely friendly bunch of staff; Tribeca will meet your every need. Expect to pay around 16€ for a main course and 20€ for a bottle of wine. Free taxi for all customers to take you to and from your meal.
La Grange, located opposite lift pass office in the main square, is a very traditional French restaurant offering superb fondue and raclette as their specialities. Expect to pay 18€ each for a typical dish. Other dishes include steaks, roast pots, snails and pasta dishes.
Le Charbon de Bois serves an array of regional specialities in a traditional ambience with an open fire and pleasant terrace. The selection of fondues is impressive, with interesting variations such as coconut or almond, all served with chips and salad. For non-meat eaters the traditional fondues and raclettes also have a ‘Nordique’ version where the ham has been replaced with smoked salmon.
 | | Le P'tit Polyteat Chalet Mounier | <Smokey Joe’s is one of the busiest restaurants in town. Its menu is Tex-Mex; starter options include garlic mushrooms and spicy nachos, main courses include large homemade burgers, duck/beef/chicken/veggie fajitas and huge steaks. There’s something for everyone on the menu and you certainly won’t leave hungry! Expect to pay 7-10€ for a starter, and 11-16€ for a main course. If you’re in need of a full English after a big night out Smokey Joe’s will come up with the goods; breakfast is served until 2pm for those of you who are unlikely to see the morning.
Located opposite the bowling alley at the Venosc end of town, Le P’tit Polyte at Chalet Mounier is a truly unique restaurant. With set menus only (either 5 course, 7 course or even 9 courses to satisfy the taste buds) Chalet Mounier is a must for all restaurant lovers. With a very professional team of staff, the restaurant offers a wide range of French style foods including snails and tartiflette. Expect to pay (per person); 40€ for a 5 course menu, 55€ for a 7 course menu, and 65€ for the 9 course option. Although expensive, Chalet Mounier is a perfect place to impress a partner. In the summer you are welcome to dine on the terrace or beside the pool. You must book at the start of the week in order to eat in Chalet Mounier.
 | | Smithy's Tavern | Open daily from midday to 2am Restaurant les Bleuets is a popular hangout for skiers and boarders serving snacks, pizzas, pancakes, etc. It has a friendly and lively buzz to it.
Smithys Tavern is one of the most popular bar-restaurants in town – but not the place to go for a quiet table for two! The large wooden tables and comfy alcoves are ideal for families or group outings and the atmosphere is busy and bustling. Above the bar is the char grill restaurant, which offers a wide range of dishes. Renowned for their large portions, starters include goat’s cheese salad, Caesar salad and massive mixed platters to share. Main courses include BBQ ribs, steaks, fajitas, homemade burgers and impressive vegetarian options, the children's menu is also better than average. Expect to pay 8€ for a starter and 12-18€ for a main course. Smithy’s is often busy and worth booking in advance.

Le Panoramic
|
Situated at 2600m just down from Jandri Express mid station, La Toura is a lovely wooden chalet-style restaurant. It serves all types of local foods, including regional cheeses, fondues and raclettes, along with 3 and 5 course menus. There is also a kids menu. Expect to pay 15-25€ for a main course. If you are not up for sitting inside there is a large outdoor terrace with reclining seats, for those who would like to bask in the sun all day long.
Also situated at 2600m, Le Panoramic restaurant is a traditional log-cabin style with an open fire inside and a wonderful terrace, which combine to give this restaurant a great atmosphere for lunch. Within walking distance of Jandri Express mid station, it is ideal for non skiers wishing to experience the mountain air.
La Fee is a bit of a hidden treasure in Les Deux Alpes, located in the La Fee valley at 2200m. The restaurant terrace is a beautiful spot for lunch on a sunny day and the service is very good. Well worth a visit to experience the silence of the valley and stunning south facing views.
 | | Self Service atLa Patache | <La Patache serves traditional French mountain food ie lots of meat, cheese and potatoes – basic components of the ever-popular Tartiflette! There is also a daily special and a choice of homemade cakes and deserts. This popular restaurant has a great sunny terrace and the options of table service in the bar-restaurant or a quick bite at the Patachon self-service snack bar. The sun drenched deckchairs and spectacular views make this worth a visit.
At the top of the Télécabine du Diable is Le Diable au Cœur, a large bustling restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. Its open fire and regional cuisine help make it popular and lively; starters range from 9€ to 15€, pasta dishes and omelettes are good value at around the same price and main meals start at 13.50€ and go up to 17.50€ for a meat/fish dish. The owner is the son of Mdm and Mr Mounier of Le P’tit Polyte.
